Tile
One advantage to tile flooring is the versatility
and variety of flooring and wall colors,
shapes, and sizes. This variety makes it an
ideal flooring choice for rooms such
bathrooms and kitchens because it is
impervious to moisture and able to cover the
entire room with fluent design and give the
entire room a sense of grace. Accent Tiles
can give a touch of flare to a tile installation,
giving the entire room the feel you are looking
for be it rustic, clean, or contemporary. Tiles
are also a cinch to clean; usually just a little
light wiping or damp-mopping does the trick.
A tile is a manufactured piece of
hard-wearing material. Tiles are generally
used for covering roofs, floors, and walls, or
other objects such as tabletops, and can
range from simple square tiles to complex
mosaics. Tiles are most often made from
ceramic or porcelain, with a hard glaze finish,
but other materials are also commonly used,
such as glass, marble, granite, slate,
travertine, limestone, and reformed ceramic
slurry, which is cast in a mould and fired.
Now lets look at stone tiles and their selection.
Remembering that stone tiles are produced in
nature, their color and general appearance may
vary greatly. This makes stone tile quite unique
and beautiful when installed correctly. Below is a
